Adenium Obesum grows with a caudex, its trunk will become increasingly thicker.

The Adenium Obesum is blooming at this time, due to the flowering stage the plant may not be in bloom upon arrival. The plant will then form new buds and bloom again later in the season.

Comments: Adenium Obesum is a very beautiful Adenium. She has a very beautiful gray/green caudex with green leaves. Like every caudex plant, it has a rest period during which it will drop all its leaves. Even when moved, it may lose some of its leaves. During leaf loss or dormancy it is important that the plant receives little water.

Adenium Obesum is supplied as a rooted plant as shown in the photo. There are a limited number of plants available. Every plant is unique and plants can differ from each other.

Care for Adenium Obesum:

The Adenium Obesum likes little water, but it is important that the soil does not become completely petrified. If there is too much water (wet feet), the plant can rot.

The Adenium Obesum is not demanding on its location, it tolerates full sun. Adenium Obesum can be placed as a houseplant or as a garden plant on the terrace in the summer.

Adenium Obesum can be fertilized once a month during the summer months with a light fertilizer. Fertilization is virtually unnecessary in autumn and winter. Growth then becomes slower and the plant uses few nutrients.

Adenium Obesum is sensitive to too much water. The plant should therefore never feel wet.

The Adenium Obesum, also known as the Desert Rose or the Impala Lily, is a succulent plant native to Africa and the Middle East. This plant is known for its thick trunk and beautiful flowers that often come in shades of pink, red and white.

The history of the Adenium Obesum dates back to ancient times, where it was cultivated by various cultures for both decorative and medicinal purposes. In many African cultures, the Adenium Obesum is still used for ritual and healing purposes.

Shipping times may differ due to the large quantity of orders and weather conditions. During the cold months we send our plants with a Heat Pack if needed. We keep a close eye on the weather forecasts.

Due to the large quantity of orders, adding plants to existing orders is not possible.

ATTENTION; We pack and ship our plants very carefully, damage to a leaf or discoloration is not covered by the guarantee.

Nelumbogarden packs and ships its plants very carefully. We use sturdy cardboard boxes and pack with kraft paper. It is possible for soil to fall out of the pot or a leaf to break during transport. We do not guarantee these two points. We ask you to open the box carefully and not with a knife or sharp object. Carefully remove the (kraft) paper. Some plants lower their leaves in the dark, these are restored within a few days. Due to changes in the season, the plants may differ from the plant shown in the photo.

Our company does not work with chemical pesticides. We pack our plants in recycled material. We limit the use of plastic to a minimum.
