Akadama is a Japanese clay pellet, it is made from a volcanic red earth.

This soil is very suitable for deciduous tree species. The porous granules retain moisture well and the granule structure allows the excess water to drain quickly. This prevents your bonsai from standing in water and prevents root rot.

Akadama is also suitable for conifers in combination with Kiryu, you can make a mixture of both.

Akadama does not contain nutrients or trace elements, which you can add by fertilizing with Biogold. We do not recommend using liquid fertilizers that are not specifically suitable for Bonsai. Liquid fertilizers not suitable for Bonsai often contain the wrong ingredients and can over-fertilize or exhaust your bonsai.

Akadama is een Japanse kleikorrel, deze is gemaakt van een vulkanische rode aarde.

Deze aarde is zeer geschikt voor loofboomsoorten. Door de poreuze korrels wordt het vocht goed vastgehouden en door de korrel structuur kan het overvloedige water snel weglopen. Dit voorkomt dat uw bonsai in het water blijft staan en voorkomt wortelrot.

Akadama bevat geen voedingstoffen of spoorelementen, deze kunt u toevoegen doormiddel van bemesting met Biogold. Wij raden het niet aan om vloeibare meststoffen te gebruiken die niet specifiek voor Bonsai geschikt zijn. Vloeibare mestoffen niet geschikt voor Bonsai bevatten vaak de verkeerde bestandelen en kunnen uw bonsai overbemesten of uitputten.
